Thursday, the 12th -- yep, dark as the bottom of a witch's cauldron -- don't you just hate that? You're all rip-rearing to go and what is this? Black outside your windows. I do not like DST --
Work today and packing and getting all the workshop handouts ready to go, generally a fun day that still, alas, requires high wattage from the brain -- yes, I can do this. BBQ ribs for lunch and that will be wonderful -- picture with mashed potatoes and the obligatory green beans (Yeah, you can eat them, then quick another gnaw on the ribs).
Thank you for all your recommendations for Mexican in Tucson -- El Charro was the favorite, but alas, it was impossible for us to get in, so we picked another one whose name just left my brain and flew off the planet. 120,000 people expected at the festival; it's sort of like the LA Times book festival, on the campus of the Univ. of Arizona, tons of booths and workshops (I do one) and panels (I do three), lots of stuff for kids -- all in all, it should be a blast. Put me up in front of bunch of smiling people and my innards hum with pleasure.

I'm Baaaack!

Update on BOMBSHELL, the 17th FBI Thriller: I'm nearly finished with the edit. The cover is very cool, explodes with eye-popping color. BOMBSHELL is set in Maestro, Va., (the setting of the 10th FBI thriller, POINT BLANK) and in Washington.
JEWEL OF THE LION (first thriller in A Brit in the FBI series partnered with J.T. Ellison). JEWEL moves fast and you don't know what's going to happen on the next page, and you're biting your toenails or a zombie's toenails. J.T. is an excellent plotter and that means when we brainstorm no plot gets left behind.
Alas, no kids want candy enough to crawl up our oxygen-deprived steep driveway, and the sad thing is, I still have a big bowl of candy, every year, but no one comes, not even the zombies with brain bags.
Take care, Catherine
