Canberra - romance convention!

So thought I'd let you all know that from the 4th to the 9th March, I won't be here (well, at home!). I'm attending the Australian Romance Readers Convention in Canberra - it'll be fun, I'll get homesick, and I don't travel that well either (if this plane falls out the frickin' sky, I will be so mad!). So don't get offended if I don't answer messages - I will check them all when I get back! I am one of those who:

1. Doesn't have a mobile phone
2. Doesn't take a laptop on trips
3. oh, that's it.

I do take a notepad and pen though, for ideas ;-)

On the bright side, I have just finished chapter 2 of Simon's story, about to start chapter 3. Or I will start chapter 3 tomorrow before I go if I have time, otherwise I'm leaving Simon hanging around, looking a little silly, until I get back - WHICH SERVES HIM FREAKIN' RIGHT FOR MAKING IT SO HARD FOR ME TO START HIS STORY!

*smoothing back hair, taking deep breath* soooo...all's good. Looking forward to visiting you all again when I get home! Stay safe, read on!

Angela Verdenius Ladies, thank you so much! Had a great time - met Jess Dee, a friend who writes erotic romance (if you haven't read her books, check her out). Also had an informative time listening to the key speakers - Sylvia Day, Victoria Dahl, Kelley Armstrong and Helene Young. Met readers, and writers, and had a GREAT time. Feeling rejuvenated and ready to ride Simon into the ground!

Okay, that last bit didn't come out right...

McGee Magoo We'll need some in-depth descriptions, Angela, you can't not share the beauty with us!

Levita Ayala Goeloe I press my left ear to the door, straining to hear what's going on in the room. Would a crystal drinking glass help me listen?
I hear feminine laughter then masculine whispers....
Ugh! What's going on in there I can't make out a single word!

I saw his - thought about it - gave it a critical eye...contemplated it...

Holy cow! Levita, I almost slid off my chair! Ever tried writing that into a book?!

Levita Ayala Goeloe I can write critical scenes but for the life of me cannot write the interactions and interspective moments in-between...
Fantasies.....have written almost a novella length of tabasco shorts

For me during periods when my imagination is like the energizer bunny after drinking a redbull, its like this.

I sit at the desk running reports to see if the insurance is current. On the bottom left its still flashing
*waiting for response*
As I wait a warm exhale brushes the back of my neck. A mirror shows him behind me. His lips brushing a warm trail down my neck.
"Hey! Can you check me into my appointment!"
I cringe inside when I see the screen flashing in front of me. *response ready*
How long I have been looking blankly in front of me I will never know.

Angela Verdenius Definitely not time wasted!!! I've been known to be (almost) running down the hospital corridor, an idea hits me, I scurry away, scribble on a piece of paper and stick it in my bag asap
Speaking of which, I have to stop playing on here and have some lunch then get ready for the arvo shift. Oh man...*insert whine*

message 15: by Levita (new)

Levita Ayala Goeloe Smiling sometimes I like playing online so much that I forget what my schedule is supposed to be afterwards.

Well got to get ready for work. Yay!
