This is one of the most awesome series I've ever read. I read the Highlander series many years ago and became an instant KMM fan. I love the Fever series and because I raved about it so much, most of my family and co-workers now read it. We always have a discussion on the books and where the story is going and try to figure out the answers to some of the many questions. I could read these books forever.
I cannot get enough of this series and find the characters so easy to love. Thank you for creating such a fantastic world. My only complaint is that you have a life and don't write for us all the time.
I have to honestly save the Fever series is perhaps my all time favorite series. I absolutely fell in love with it and waiting for the next book was torture.Looking forward to new books with my favorite characters.
I decided to make a chart of characters and clues through ALL the books, not just the Fever books, and what do you know- I am 99% sure I know who Dancer is. And if I'm right, yeeha, this is gonna get good. Can't WAIT for the next installment! Meanwhile, I will continue to play detective.

There have been mixed reviews for Iced and Burned. I love all you work! People having the "pedo" problem with Iced wasn't how I looked at it at all. I didn't think it was written like grown men lusting after a 14 y/o but the woman she would become. No offense to people who think that, but I think it's because these are romances and people want Dani to be with Ryodan or Christian. It feels wrong to look at it like that. Then I read reviews saying Burned was not what people expected. Well, I enjoyed it. I appreciate the world you take me to. I don't wish for changes. I just ride the wave with whatever type of surfboard you give me. Even if the surfboard ends up being a ray of sunshine.
Fantastic series. I purchased the first 5 and read them all in a month. Then I read the Highlanders. Several friends from work are reading the series. They always ask me what's coming and I merely reply, "you have to wait and see, but get there quickly!" KMM has created a fan forever!

This is gonna get VERY interesting. BTW, this chart thing I'm doing is showing me all kinds of connections I hadn't seen before. I highly recommend it!

No, not in the last chapter, but in KMM's "update" after the last chapter. At least, it's in my edition. And you need to have read Iced to connect it. Hope that helps!
Kat wrote: "No, not in the last chapter, but in KMM's "update" after the last chapter. At least, it's in my edition. And you need to have read Iced to connect it. Hope that helps!"Hmm, OK. I've got the Authors Note directly after the last chapter where KMM talks about cervical cancer & there's a wee little update in that section on Lisa & Circenn, but just saying she's at university & he's devoting his time to pleasing her. After that is the Acknowledgements & and excerpt from the Immortal Highlander. I must be missing this update...noooo! I have to say though, without reading the update, I think I know who Dancer is as well & it has something to do with something I read in one of the Highlander books.
I love this journey! The characters are all so interesting! I really feel the different world they are showing us. Karen Marie Moning is truly in a league of her own. The discussions here are so fascinating. Enlighten me who do u think Dancer is? I have read all KMM's books and I really don't have any ideas, save one hint....Christian says he looks like him at that age, does that mean anything to you?

OK - what is Lisa studying at University? And ...oh, this is giving it away - remember in Iced, what Dancer said about his mother? Think about it. And I'm pretty sure I know who the 10th is, too, but I bet many of you have a clue about that. There is so much in the Highlander books that plays right into the Fever books!
Sandra wrote: "I love this journey! The characters are all so interesting! I really feel the different world they are showing us. Karen Marie Moning is truly in a league of her own. The Fever series is in my top 3 all time favorites. It will remain there for a very long time. I have recommended the series and loaned books out to 2 friends who have become equally obsessed. The build up was amazing, the reveal astounding and the ending worth every bit of hype!!!! Thanks Karen for great consistent writing.
My pet peeve is and always will be writers who are not true to the characters. They make the characters do stupid stuff just to move the plot. I Fever NEVER does that. The characters are always consistent and true. Will continue to read your great writing.

YES!!! Iced was my all time favourite! Do not let people change the direction you want to take... YOU are the master carver, carve away. Just like any art, books generates interest, dissension, dialogue, love/hate; but therein lies it beauty...
Kat, such an interesting idea about who Dancer could be. Originally I thought he was one of the King's people, but that didn't pan out. I read the bit from the Highlander's Touch and I think you're onto something. Although...it says Circenn's eyes are dark and Lisa's eyes were green, so could Dancer come up with startling Aqua eyes? Of course in Shadowfever, it says his eyes are an odd shade of blue and green and look "fae-touched." Also, in Shadowfever, Dani mentions he has a huge issue with time and clocks, and it seems like having to track time is a fae thing to complain about. In Iced, Kat comments that he harbors secrets so dark that not even Kat's empathetic gifts can see them. Can't wait to find out the scoop on him!!
Absolutely along for the ride! You write a cliff hanger better than anyone (and I read a lot)! I love all of the characters and the many twists and turns they've taken as they have matured. Thank you for continuing this series - we can't wait to see what happens next!

I guess the 10 is Dagues? Barron's and Ryodan had him in that room at the end. That was what I thought.
KMM put out a pic with a Dani quote ...talked about changing.on Twitter and her Facebook, does this have anything to do with the unseelie king
telling Cruce a woman would be sought to be new queen? Or get the magic he sought? I know he said maybe it's Mac but he loves to be vague.
I just love where KMM takes us and hope she keeps following her real dream of this story!

I'm sticking to my original theory, that he is Circenn's son. But wow, it'd be so cool if I'm wrong; I have a real aversion to being correct sometimes. :-)

Keep doing what you love as I for one have enjoyed your vision so far.
