Assuming this information is not something your keeping under wraps just in case you get the chance to use it later, how would you have launched the Movement if you could have done it differently?

I think the approach we had to the ads and stuff, which I liked the idea of at the time but I think sort of made it confusing, was too tied into specific events in the news.



The book was never about the Occupy movement, it actually was plotted before that even really took hold. But it was presented that way to some degree and I think it sort of confused casual purchasers.



It sounds silly, but little things like this can mean the difference between someone purchasing a book or not. Also, I revealed the character’s hearts kind of slowly, that’s on me.



I’m very proud of the book, I think a lot of books that are getting praised now for covering these topics are doing it less head-on than we did. 


And I miss the characters a lot. Burden, Vengeance Moth, Katharsis, Mouse, Tremor, Virtue…it’s a fun team. I think we didn’t get that message out.
