Ignite

After her fathers untimely demise in a mining accident and her mothers abandonment, Lauren Lindsay is no stranger to loss. Shes used to living life for one person: herself. That is, until another family tragedy thrusts three children into her care and uproots her life in ways she could never imagine.

Lauren’s first instinct is to run, until she meets their striking, mysterious neighbor Dean Powell. Their immediate chemistry and his connection with her late father just might be enough to keep her in town long enough to uncover pieces of her past that she never had answers to. Deans shady past and her reluctance to trust him could cost her the life she’s always been searching for, but will she run back to her old life?

Or will she choose to stay and live the life her father always imagined for her?

My Review: No Spoilers.

I signed up to Lily’s Blog tour and promised an honest review. Sadly, it took me a while to get a chance to read it, big mistake. Firstly, I love how the author writes, easy and it flows brilliantly.

The story takes you on a journey with Lauren who’s life has been hard, tragic loss of her father and the betrayal of those she trusted. One day, her young life is turned upside down and she has some tough decisions to make that no only impact on her but others are depending on her. Then there is Dean, a stranger at first but becomes an important and crucial part of her world, and it seems always has been, even before they met. This story is not just about girl meets boy even if it seems that way at the start. It really isn’t, there is a magical twist to this story that left me smiling at the end.

Books can leave you feeling all kinds of emotions once you reach the end, Ignite left me with a sense of contentment. I was thrilled with the outcome which to me felt magical. It makes you think about what is important in life. Family, love, friendship.

Love isn’t always about ripping each others clothes of at a drop of a hat, it’s about trust, and most of all feeling safe and being in the place you are truly mean’t to be; Home.

Ignite is a beautiful story and you should all give it a read.
