Trying to Get Down to One

I’m trying to get down to one book.

What I mean by this is that I’m trying to get back into my old habit of only reading one book at a time.

I did that for a long time, and it has its benefits and it has its drawbacks.

It’s good because you stay on track, stay focused on one story or subject, and just get in that plow ahead mindset.

It’s bad because you can get tired of what you’re reading, and not read.

I never had that last problem when I wasn’t a dad. Now it’s tougher to not read. Reading takes more work, seems to take more time.

Thank God I don’t have a TV in my house or I’d probably read less than I do!

Anyways, I’m at two books currently being read, and that’s after finishing The Drawing of the Three again today. I’ll focus on the Teddy Roosevelt book now and then Rama II…I dunno, I’m not much in the mood to read that.

But I need to plow ahead, and will get back into that mindset.
