Taking a Short Break

Hi, and thank you for checking back with me. I've decided to take a short break from posting. At least till I finish the writing projects I've got going. I've been reading a ton of books over the holidaze and I can recommend a few to you.

One of the best LGBT books I read this year is The River Within by Baxter Clare Trautman. This is a terrific story of a battle fatigued journalist who returns to the States for some R and R. The characters literally leap off the page and you won't be able to put this book down. I guarantee it. River was a runner up in this year's Rainbow Awards and I can see why. Don't miss it.

Another book, The Girl with a Clock for a Heart is a mystery thriller and a fun ride I recommend you take if you loved the film Body Heat from the 1980's. The book features a central female character who will grab you in her clutches and won't let go. And an everyman central character, ala the quintessential Hitchcock protagonist, who gets in way over his head. Loved it. A fast read and a good way to spend a few hours. Very entertaining.
