How’s this for High Concept || You’ve Given The Universe an STD
Cosplay Fetish Battle Drones poses an interesting dilemma: What happens when you not only have intercourse with the universe, but also pass on a pesky STD to it? Well, you don’t simply call the universe, or meet face to face to break the news: you go on a demented Power Rangers wet dream of mangled VHS tapes and wonky acting, as evidenced by the trailer above, which gives me horrific flashbacks to the style of Too Many Cooks; but can be traced back directly to the likes of TV Carnage as well as Ruben and Ed. This means that the movie does have a high possibility of pushing the line from nerve-bursting hilarious awkwardness over into the land of boring nonsense, but that is a chance I am willing to take.
If one movie is going to sell me purely on concept this year, this is it.
