Son of the Tides Book Release

Son of the Tides by Isabel Brown

For seventeen-year-old Lucas Hunter, leading an unremarkable life is inevitable. His dismal reality seems to be his unmistakable destiny. The only consolation he finds is in his dreams of the beautiful Tatiana Bishop. For months, Lucas has kept his eyes on this dark-eyed beauty at school and on the bus. Unfortunately, she barely knows that he exists. Then one day, she disappears. Poof. Just like that. Tatiana is gone.
The news shocks him almost as much as the rapid physical changes he begins to experience. He's gotten taller, bigger, and more muscular than he could ever have imagined. For the first time in his life he's outperforming the biggest jocks in his gym class, especially in the water.
Then Chelsea Sawyer, Tatiana’s semi-snooty best friend, enters his life. Imagine a girl who has never given him the time of day before now comes to him for help in finding her friend. As Lucas and Chelsea begin to piece together clues and close in on Tatiana’s mysterious disappearance, Lucas will gain new insight into his own past—a past that will forge a stunning new destiny—an extraordinary destiny—one that can only be fulfilled by the  Son of the Tides .

Author Isabel Brown was born in Puerto Rico to Puerto Rican parents. She was an army brat who moved frequently and went to school in Germany before settling down in the United States. Later, Isabel served in the United States Air Force before deciding to become a writer. Isabel has always known she wanted to be a writer since she discovered Ray Bradbury and wrote her own short stories in the ninth grade. Years later, her interest in writing got rekindled when she was awakened one morning by the voices of numerous characters speaking in her head. They wouldn’t shut-up, either. She has not stopped writing ever since. Isabel writes young adult urban fantasy but has dabbled in science fiction and historical fiction, too.
Isabel is a member of Romvets, Savvy Authors, and Toastmasters International. When she isn’t writing, Isabel enjoys making arts and crafts and is a freelance book cover and book trailer designer. She adores chocolate-covered strawberries, anything by Edgar Rice Burroughs, and anywhere she could sink her toes in the sand. Her big loves are her family (including an adorable mixed lab and an old feisty cat). She lives with her husband in Columbus, Ohio. Son of the Tides is her first novel.
