And The Winner Is

And The Winner Is...Story # 3.

The sad teen who got nothing for her birthday is the winner of our contest. Here are a few extra stories that didn't make it on our list.

My worst Christmas gift was also from my husband. Our 1st year of marriage he got me a Terry Redlin screen saver. I can appreciate that he is a talented artist but not my cup of tea. This was at a time when we couldn't afford much (ie. living in a studio apartment, looking in cabinets trying to figure out what you could have for dinner that could be made from rice, jello and hawaiian punch mix.) and he went on and on about how broke we were and that was all he could afford was this screen saver (by the way, the artist I liked was Thomas Kincaid but that was to much to remember I suppose). A few days later as I'm vacuuming our apartment/shack, I bump a box that happens to be a new hard and faster hard drive for my husbands computer. A sizable chunk of change at that time. So for his birthday a few weeks later, I wrap up the empty box just to see his reaction. A little passive aggressive but what can I say, we were newly weds.

My sweet husband is an obstetrician who spends many hours at the hospital with laboring patients. Sadly, he discovered Home Shopping Network. (I've wondered if I could hold the hospital liable for having such a channel????!!!!!). My present was a Wolfgang Puck deep fat fryer! I don't even deep fry things when I cook!!

It ended up in the next garage sale! I told him to start watching the jewelry programs in the future!!

Thanks to everyone who participated in the contest!
