BookBub Promo October 14, 2014
I have a BookBub promo on my first in series coming up on Wednesday (barring strange and random Amazon wackiness). Since KU (KindleUnlimited) came out, I’ve been noticing a decline in sell-thrus. Usually, without a huge BookBub promo I have decent sell-thru, about 8% or 10% when I hit the little sites. When I do no promotion it’s even higher.
But last month my sell-thru was only about 6.5%. I don’t know if it’s KU. I don’t know if it’s the time of year. But this time, when I do BookBub on I Bring the Fire Part I (IBF P1) I’m discounting Monsters (IBF P2), second in series to 99 cents just to see what happens.
Here are the Promos I have lined up:
10/07: IBF P1: ebookSoda & ebookArrow, GenrePulse, IBF P2: GenrePulse
10/08: IBF P1: BookBub/Freebooksy $50 promo, Bknights; IBF P2 Bknights, DiscountbookDaily
10/09: IBF P1: ILoveVampireNovels
10/10: IBF P1: BookSends; IBF P2 Manybooks.net and Awesomegang
10/14: IBF P2: ReadCheaply
10/21: IBF P2: Midlist
I also submitted to every non-guaranteed placement I could find. I’ll update the list if they pick me up.
The goal is to stay at the top of the heap as long as I can in both free (IBF P1) and paid (IBF P2) categories just for the exposure. I will let everyone know how it goes. Right now … it’s all making me feel a little sick to my stomach. I tell myself that all this experimentation now will pay off down the road if and when I do this full-time.
You can pick up a free copy of I Bring the Fire Part I at:
Amazon, Barnes and Nobles, Google, Kobo and Smashwords.
And Monsters I Bring the Fire Part II is temporarily only 99 cents at:
Amazon, Google Play, Apple, B&N, Kobo, and Smashwords
