6782 words closer to being done.
1117 words this morning, which makes a total of 6782 words added to RETURN TO ANGEL HILL since last Saturday. That's a decent amount, and I'll take it, even though I did zero words yesterday and only 597 a few days before. Most days I made my 1000 word minimum and on Wednesday, I wrote 2015. I know the deadline for my portion of the book is October 14, but I'm going to go ahead and beat that by almost two weeks and have it to Dave some time next week, the earlier the better.
I'm eager to have this one off my plate because I got word yesterday that my job, and my schedule, is changing again. Starting Monday night I'll be working third shift, from 10:30 PM to 6:30 or 7:00 AM--most likely 7:00 because these are 8 1/2 hour shifts, minus the half hour unpaid lunch. I'm not looking forward to it in the least, not only because it's back to the department I was so desperate to escape last month, but I have no idea what this schedule is going to do to my writing time. So I want to get this novel out of the way as soon as I can. I think, if I push myself, I can have it done by Monday and off to him. But that's still two days away and I know how much I still have to write on it, so I'm not making any promises just yet.
