"The Eds are Coming, The Eds are Coming" was the one episode I dreaded writing the most…and the one I ended up loving the most.
Big Jim, Wootie and Joel were on the storyboard team, and I seem to remember Jim absolutely killing it with the opening scene ‘robot wigglies’. Mike Kubat came up with the grody ‘alien egg’ gag when Ed finally escapes his captors, something I remember him being particularly excited about. I always have fun writing with Mike. He throws out ideas with all the ardour of a chinchilla on its fourth bag of Haribo.
When Kev shouts this line before the kids head into battle, I get ALL THE PRIDE.
