Directed and shot by Bob Pruvis and Timm Gable in Milwauke, WI in the summer of 2014, the video for Sylvan Esso's "Dreamy Bruises" is filled with natural beauty, human connections, and enigma -- much like their widely-praised self-titled debut album. Watch as a diverse cast of characters, including bandmates Nick Sanborn and Amelia Meath, make a mysterious pilgrimage through the tree-lined hills of Wisconsin. As our travelers make their way to a clearing in the woods, there is a celebratory yet dystopian atmosphere as we await the video's colorful climax. Of course, no Sylvan Esso video would be complete without an emphasis on movement and dance (see videos for "Coffee" and "Play It Right"), and here we are treated to a joyful choreographed line-dance with all of the pilgrims moving in unison.
