Long enough already to think in German! :) Since 1996!
And I have read this blog! Am I stupid?! I can't see the songs!!! Are they hidden? :(
Books and music are my passion. I think very often while reading a book what kind of song could suit the best for it. Sometimes I put my music imagination in my review. It is why I wanted to know.
I suck when transported to other languages. When I was first learning Spanish I would say something and then ask if the sentence made sense. And the answer was no. Half the sentence was in French and the other half in Spanish and my mind had just hobbled it together on the fly. I suck at any language besides English, and even then I sometimes wonder. My Scandinavian friends sound more technically perfect.
Irish - Good! I'm glad my linguistic misfortunes are entertaining. :)Lena - So you've been doing that longer than I have. :) And - check out this link: http://aleksandrvoinov.blogspot.co.uk...
Vivian - I think it really helps if you learn a language while young. I won't even attempt to learn another apart from the two I have. (Unless I emigrate to another country, say, Italy.) Too much work keeping the language alive.
Aleks - re this bit 'how to destroy the world and plunge it into a nuclear winter without having the benefit of nuclear weapons' - you should have a chat with Matthew Mather - he seems to have got it sussed. Re languages - cripes - you are talking to the English here (well some of us must be) and by tradition we suck at learning other languages. You never seen 'allo allo' ? - cleaver, tasteless and strangely funny (apparently) - especially when with friends and under the influence. AND - if the worst came to the worst you could always write it down - you know you are good at that. E

The interview was great! How I understand you, Aleks! I feel the same but your English is my German! :)
