Is Goodreads really worth the time?
So far, I can't say I've had a lot of results with Goodreads. I've done a book giveaway with no reviews resulting. I'm currently trying an advert.
I will say it is a nice place to DOCUMENT what I've done. The librarians have been magnificent in helping me catalog my book series properly. Cover changes and edition updates remain a little odd but that's obviously an artifact of the database engine.
Has it gotten me more readers? Not nearly as many as google+, twitter, and facebook.
We'll keep tinkering with it. I'm trying to decide how to handle a book giveaway for a series. It doesn't make a lot of sense to do that for book 2 or 3. I'll look up and see whether the system can handle a book series giveaway -- or I just keep having to giveaway book 1.
