Some Interesting Observations
I had one recent observation about one of my characters in my short story "Lonely Pines". Dr. Hayley Gardner is a fascinating study in a character who is paralyzed by disbelief--he is warned of a tragedy by someone who he can't believe--and you probably wouldn't either--so he does not ring the warning bell. That is the explanation (to the careful reader) of his apparent lack of heroism in this multiple layered character. I love a complicated character--not a cardboard one.

I haven't read the book but I've added it to the list of books to read. People are complicated, we are full of lively personalities; some intriguing, some aren't but all types make-up this amazing person.
