Chapter 184: Nightfall
Time passed with startling speed upon the earth. While the sun swung low in a vivid blaze of colors, Tamaes stood in awe.
The sky slowly filled with stars before Taweel broke the silence. “Night makes the Fallen bold.”
So far, the only enemies they’d glimpsed were skulkers and sneaks with no interest in a confrontation. Tamaes was more interested in the changing sky. Pointing to a twinkling cluster near the horizon, he said, “Nock is there.”
Taweel tapped his shoulder and gestured to the faint glimmer of torches along the walls of a large human city. “Asaph is there.”
