Publication day has arrived! POWER GAMES, my fifth book, is out today. Heat has tagged it ‘sexy, fun and full of scandal’ and Now says it’s my ‘most outrageous bonkbuster yet’. I have to agree. This one involves crocodiles, diamond thieves, a supermodel in a swamp, orangutans, an alien probe, pirates, sharks, cannibals and leopards. Oh, and an intimate encounter with a tree.

I can’t wait to hear what you think about POWER GAMES. Letting a book go is always a funny time: knowing those characters are out there, fending for themselves, is exhilarating and terrifying. I spend months alone with these people, arguing with them and cajoling them and generally going slightly insane, and then suddenly the time comes to knock them out of the nest. Will anybody like them? Does the story make sense? Is it even a story?

But I’m very proud of this novel. It’s the hardest I’ve ever worked and the toughest challenge I’ve had as an author. I hope you’ll read it in the sun and feel thoroughly entertained; I hope it takes you to lands and oceans far and wide, and I hope it gives you an adventure. It certainly did for me.
