Laren slowly raised her gaze, thinking she was prepared for the smoldering heat that sizzled in his eyes, but she was wrong. It touched her in waves. Petting her. Tempting her until all she could see was the image of her kneeling beside him, resting her cheek against his thigh as he made those decisions for her. Would he be shocked by what she’d want him to do for her?
“If you continue to look at me like that, kitten, we might have to forgo the pizza.”
