I Would Escape

All I want to do

is lock myself away

in a book

if only for today.

Who am I kidding?

I would disappear

if I could

for eternity

to another place

another realm

with bigger dreams

stronger loves

irrefutable bravery

fantastic adventures

and so much more.

I would escape

to those worlds

to find a new me

to take on the world

and find my destiny

find the one

who would love me

more than his own life.

I would take pleasure

in knowing

I could conquer

anything

placed in my path

with love by my side

and destiny in my heart.
