Lori That is not the case for me. I tend to love book stores for their peace and quiet.

Bill The Firebrand is one of my favorite Susan Wiggs books. If you haven't read it, you owe it to yourself to get the reprint and read it. It is also available on Kindle I think.

Lori I will have to go get a copy of Firebrand. I hadn't heard of it until recently. Thanks Bill.

Lori - The Hostage, the first book of the Chicago Fire Trilogy is another favorite of mine. Most of it takes place on Isle Royale, an island in Lake Superior above the northern peninsula of Michigan. I was so fascinated by this story and its location that my wife and I are planning to visit Isle Royale next summer when we are in the Midwest for a conference. Another book from Ms. Wiggs' backlist that I liked is The Lightkeeper. You might want to check that out too.
