“ …Tori Amos returns to the world of piano-driven pop with her best album in 20 years.” – NPR
“Tori Amos made a pretty perfect return” – SPIN
"Her fiercely personal lyrical candor earned her a face among influential ’90s singer-songwriters …it’s her appreciable mysticism and prodigal chops that carried Amos into something like otherworldliness, and, well, the new millennium." – The FADER
"[Unrepentant Geraldines] proves that Tori’s still very much the queen of the twisted alt-piano ballad. Now take this as your cue to bow down and genuflect." - VICE's Noisey

Tori Amos will release her 14th studio album Unrepentant Geraldines tomorrow, May 13th on Mercury Classics/Universal Music Classics. Critically acclaimed by NPR , The New York Times , The FADER , Stereogum , SPIN , WNYC Soundcheck and appearing on Katie and VH1 Big Morning Buzz Live , this release continues the iconic, platinum-selling artist’s legacy of groundbreaking recordings. Unrepentant Geraldines is a return to the inspiring and personal music that Amos is known for the world over. Pop/rock in both content and feel, fans can experience this new body of work live as Amos has launched a wordwide tour and will grace U.S. stages beginning July 16th.
Amos explains, “After 2009 I walked into three records that are sort of a period of writing that was a different stylistic choice. I needed to walk away from contemporary songwriting. I needed to do something different as a writer.” But those three diverse album projects (Midwinter Graces, Night of Hunters, Gold Dust) followed by her first full-bore theatrical project (The Light Princess) alchemized something anew within. Out of the flux of ambition and distraction and imagination came Unrepentant Geraldines. It’s an album on which Amos once more zeroes in on the writing of brightly melodic, deftly evocative chamber-pop.
Unrepentant Geraldines is a return to her core identity as a creator of contemporary songs, following a series of more classically-inspired and innovative musical projects of the last four years. These have included the seasonal collection Midwinter Graces, the classically influenced Night of Hunters, and Gold Dust, a collection of orchestral re-workings of songs from across her career.
Tori Amos has sold over 12 million albums, has played over a thousand shows and has had multiple Grammy nominations. A pioneer across multiple platforms, she was the first major label artist to offer a single for download, has had her songs turned into graphic novels, and has produced pioneering videos throughout her career. She is renowned for her passionate and broad fan-base, her critically and commercially successful tours, and her ever evolving live show. Ms. Amos is also a noted humanitarian and co-founder of RAINN (Rape, Abuse, and Incest National Network), which is the United States’ largest anti-sexual assault organization.
