You can now watch the arresting new video for Mogwai’s “Simon Ferocious,” from the band’s critically acclaimed album, Rave Tapes. Directed by Antony Crook, the clip features a team of skydivers engaging in gravity-defying acrobatics and captured with breathtaking cinematography (see PitchforkNews Story May 12th).

Mogwai have extended their 2014 worldwide tour schedule in support of Rave Tapes. The band is in the midst of a headlining North American trek that ends May 25th in Vancouver, BC at the Vogue Theatre. Mogwai will then head back to Europe for a series of tour dates that begin May 30th in Duingen, CH at Bad Bonn Kilbi and currently end August 30th in Glasgow, UK at Richmond Park. Additional international festival highlights include:  May 23rd in George, WA at Sasquatch; Primavera Sound weekends May 31st in Barcelona, ES and June 6th in Porto, PT; Glastonbury Festival June 27th-29th; Roskilde on July 4th; Tokyo’s SonicMania on August 15th; And Osaka’s Summersonic on August 16th. Rave Tapes, featuring the highlights “Remurdered,” “The Lord Is Out Of Control,” and “Simon Ferocious,” is now available on CD/ LP / DL in Europe via Rock Action and in North America via Sub Pop (The album is also available via Spunk in Australia and via Hostess in Japan and Southeast Asia).
