I grew up at the local drive-in. Wonderful memories. The drive-in of my hometown doesn’t exist anymore. I haven’t visited the double screener in my current city. It’s just not the same. In the old days, there were movies you could only see at the drive-in. Now most drive-ins are forced to show the save blockbusters as the multi-plexes.

Back in the day, it was all about those “drive-in” movies. Many of the horror flicks I enjoyed back in the 70’s turned out to be classics like TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE or LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT,  or THE HILLS HAVE EYES but many others were just great fun, and made an impression that lasted a lifetime.

Anyone remember COUNT YORGA, or ASYLUM, or CHILDREN SHOULDN’T PLAY WITH DEAD THINGS, or FROGS, or DON’T LOOK IN THE BASEMENT, or Sssssssssss, or SQUIRM or THE HOUSE THAT DRIPPED BLOOD, or TALES FROM THE CRYPT? I not only remember them, but still enjoy them today.

Those really were the days.
