In 1980 I turned 18, so the horror & action films of the 70’s really had an atomic bomb impact on my creativity. DAWN OF THE DEAD was the film that imprinted the awesome combination of action and horror. More permanent than a tattoo, DAWN is the underlying heartbeat of most everything I write. Not HALLOWEEN. Not TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE, Not JAWS or THE EXORCIST or THE LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT or even THE NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD. I might be a novelist at heart but film and television has steered my imagination from the jump.
