Friday is here again, right in the face -- the 11th of April: Going over gallies for Power Play -- probably all weekend as well. It takes time because you've got to go r-e-a-l slow -- yet, as all of you know, there are still typos/errors in the final book -- And you the reader think are these people lazy? Boobs? idiots? Don't care? Do you know that at the very end of the process another 2 people (called cold readers since they've never seen the book before) read manuscripts before they go into final production? Isn't that amazing? Talk about caring. My own sincerely held belief is this: A typo or mistake manages through special letter magic not to be caught at any point in the process and then it burrows into the page it selects to screw around with and is quickly joined by the only other very very tiny type amongst the 110 THOUSAND words and they breed with great abandon, or not -- go figure. If you have a better explanation, let's hear it --
Last day before really fun Saturday to make your quads, abs and triceps zing -- so stretch, don't rush it, 3-5 minutes, then go for it -- more lunges, crunches, weights (use anything of you don't have free weights, doesn't matter.) Don't forget the two more important things: BREATHE and GO SLOW

I'm Baaaack!

Update on BOMBSHELL, the 17th FBI Thriller: I'm nearly finished with the edit. The cover is very cool, explodes with eye-popping color. BOMBSHELL is set in Maestro, Va., (the setting of the 10th FBI thriller, POINT BLANK) and in Washington.
JEWEL OF THE LION (first thriller in A Brit in the FBI series partnered with J.T. Ellison). JEWEL moves fast and you don't know what's going to happen on the next page, and you're biting your toenails or a zombie's toenails. J.T. is an excellent plotter and that means when we brainstorm no plot gets left behind.
Alas, no kids want candy enough to crawl up our oxygen-deprived steep driveway, and the sad thing is, I still have a big bowl of candy, every year, but no one comes, not even the zombies with brain bags.
Take care, Catherine
