Writing Process Blog Hop
I’ve been invited to participate in the “My Writing Process Blog Tour!”
Thanks so much to Robyn Roze (http://www.robynroze.com/) for including me! This blog tour is kind of a mini interview. So let’s get to the good stuff!
1) What are you working on?--> I’m deep in edits to my third novel, Wicked Flames, the third in my Solsti Prophecy series. This is where I get to share the story of Gin Bonham, the third sister in the family and the one who wants nothing to do with the ability she’s been born with. And then there’s the demon sent to persuade her…Mathias. Known as the Hunter, his tracking and persuasion skills are unparalleled. Trouble? Check. Crazy attraction? Check. I can’t wait until this one releases!
2) How does your work differ from others of its genre?--> I choose to write about demons, and I make up all my different demon species. Some are good, some are evil. Some can pass for human while others look like the monster under your bed. I don’t have any shifters (yet) and the few vampires I include are weak, looked down upon in their world, and struggling to survive. My main group of alpha-hotties are known as the Lash demons, and the elite few who have achieved the rank of Watcher star in my books.
3) Why do you write what you do?--> I LOVE writing (and reading) paranormal romance, because I have free rein to do what I want with my characters and settings. Creating powers and worlds is a blast
4) How does your writing process work?--> I write slow, but I’m trying to get faster every day. I’m always trying to top my “personal best” in my daily word count. When I write a rough draft, I try to get the words out as fast as possible. I DO NOT stop to edit until I’m done. Scenes can be tinkered with later on, or they may end up being cut.
I start with a general, broad theme and a few plot points, then I fill in the details as I go. Sometimes my characters say or do things I never saw coming! I have learned that makes me a mix of a “plotter” and a “pantser.” Then in the revision stage, I give much more scrutiny to each sentence. And this is what I doing now, with Wicked Flames. Teasers posted on my Facebook page! www.facebook.com/sharonkaynovels
Following me next week, to share their writing process, are three amazing authors:
H. Anne Henry is a native of North Texas, where the flat, windswept landscape provides inspiration for the backdrop of the Dove Creek Chronicles. When she isn't pecking away at a story, she spends her time chasing a busy husband and loving a spirited toddler . . . Or is that the other way around?

Faith Andrews is the author of MAN OF MY DREAMS, KEEP ME, and the soon to be released novella, BACK TO YOU. She lives in New York where she is happily married to her high school sweetheart. They have two beautiful daughters and a furry Yorkie son, Rocco. If she isn't listening to Mumford and Sons or busy being a Dance Mom, her nose is in a book or the laptop. She's a sucker for a happily ever after and believes her characters are out there living one somewhere... www.faithandrews.wordpress.com
K.M. Scott is a New York Times bestselling author of erotic contemporary romance. Under her other pen name, Gabrielle Bisset, she writes erotic paranormal romance. When she isn't writing, she loves to cook and watch more TV than any human being ever should. http://authorkmscott.blogspot.com/
