Game of Thrones gossip

This story is for my fellow Game of Thrones fans. I confess it raised some red flags with me.
http://time.com/32791/game-of-thrones... But only 19 more days to go now till the launch of the new season, for which we are thankful.

Marquise So you're an ASOIAf fan too? Oh, you can't imagine how happy it makes me! Your "Sunne in Splendour" and Druon's Accursed Kings series are the chief culprits for me reading those books and becoming an avid fan. In fact, the friend who convinced me to read GRRM cited "Sunne" and WotR politics to convince me. Very effective!

Rachel Your a got fan? Awesome. I have to admit I'm worried, but have faith that GRRM is going to pull through in the end. I like the series. Not sure that I'm liking them ending the series and making it into one big movie. I really hope they don't do that. As far as the kids ages and things- until we get the other two books, getting the full story, I think that details like that are mute at this point. As much as I like to see a new book come out. I don't think its right that some people and media are trying to rush GRRM in completing his series. I rather wait and get a good book and fabulous end to the series....then be disappointed by a rush job version of Got, because GRRM was pressured into releasing his book sooner then he wanted.

Carolina Casas You're a Gameof thrones/ASOIAF fan too? Awesome! He's said in various interviews he based it on Plantageneys and Capetians, Albigensian wars (which is seen with Melisandre), wars of the roses for the war od the fivie kinhgs on the show, Tudors and some Stuarts. On Dorne however in a recent interview posted in a Portyuguese blog-post he said it is based on Welsh dynasties, Castile and Italian city states.
I hope he does finish it soon. I agree authors must take their time but we need those two books now!

Iset I've got to say Sharon this sets off my alarm bells too. A film? A film can't contain ASOIAF, that's why GRRM refused film deals in favour of a tv series, so I'd heard. No way will HBO cancel - GoT is the second biggest, most watched show of all time. I'd heard about the producers running "prequels" to give time for GRRM to finish Book 7 (Book 6 apparently having been imminent for some time now), and that's fine with me... but yes it is a slight issue that the child actors will get older so I don't know about that.

Carolina Casas I agree. As much as a finale with a movie would be epic, it would prove difficult to include the impending finale. I hope he finishes those books soon! And so we can get a fuller season into the finale. What I would like to see into movies is a prequel of Robert's rebellion or even of the age of herors before the coming of the Targaryens or the coming of the Targaryens with Aegon and his two sisters.

Darcey It's unlikely that the core books would make a film - but the Dunk & Egg series, or The Princess And The QUeen, could do so admirably.

Jennifer He really needs to wrap it up ...
