No one can say for sure why we dream. I am beginning to wonder if anyone can say for sure why we do anything. Some say that dreaming is a form of taking out the garbage, that the mind is getting rid of images and thoughts that it no longer needs. Some say that upon the moment of shutdown, the brain goes haywire for a moment and plays a chaotic and meaningless story.
