“For one,” Shell said, “you don’t trust me. A person is more likely to backstab someone they think is going to backstab them. You won’t give me the money I’m asking for. You’ll turn me over to the police when all of this is done.”


“I won’t,” she said. “I’ll pay you in advance if you want.”


“Don’t matter,” Shell said. “Because there’s also the fact that I won’t work with some stuck up bitch from the North with a fancy college degree and all kinds of fancy electronics shoved up her ass. I don’t work with people like that. And guess what, sweety? If I’m not working with you, then you’re my competition.”
