Marie Z Johansen I think it is universal - like looking at a blank canvas or a blank piece of paper or cloth. It is a step into the future that can be frightening or - well - blank !

Christy English I never think of a blank canvas, though to my mind that would be terrifying...I am lucky in that every time (so far) I sit down in front of the screen, my characters show up. Bless them!
