My review of Innocence Lost:

I was given a copy of Innocence Lost in exchange for an honest review. This is one series that I plan to follow. The first few chapters started out a little slow. They tell the back story of how Blake and Siobhan ‘Si’ meet and initially fall in love. I felt like the beginning could have been a little more detailed, however, when Blake and Siobhan run into each other ten years later, sparks fly.
Their reunion ignites a fire in both of them and results in some oh so steamy and well written sexy scenes. This, for me, is where the story really picks up. No sooner than they reunite does Blake come clean that he is a vampire, and vampire royalty at that. I also really enjoyed his back story and how he was born a vampire rather than made one.
No sooner do they reunite then enemies from Blake’s past catch up into them and Siobhan is pulled into the dangerous vampire world. I’m not one to give away spoilers, but I will tell you the last half of this book had me on the edge of my seat, biting my nails, and flipping page after page. I loved the strength and fight Siobhan has and the romance and love she has for Blake. Even though she goes through hell, she never gives up on her love for Blake, and clings to the hope that he will rescue her.
This novel does have some darker themes, but they are hot and it is definitely worth the read. I am looking forward to picking up the next installment.
