Running for Joy!

I took my dogs, Annie and Twix for our daily two mile walk. As he does every day, Bonus, my thoroughbred, looked longingly across the fence. He is so tired of doing nothing, but I’m a fair weather rider and will wait for the mud and the muck in the pastures and arena, to dry up a bit before I get back in the saddle.

When the dogs and I returned from a our walk along the river, I guess Bonus decided he didn’t actually have to wait for me, to have fun. After greeting me at the gate and receiving a rub on his ears and a scratch on the rump, he started running laps in his pasture, I’m so glad it’s such a nice, large pasture. The mud didn’t seem to bother him, although as I videoed his pure joy, every slipping step made me catch my breath.

I love watching him run, so I decided to share my joy with you all.

Come on Spring!
