Why I Love My Editor

Because she knows when it should be “nine-year-old” and when it should be “nine-year old” (no hyphen in between the “year” and “old): “When an adjective….the nine-year-old boy walked away….then use hyphens. If it comes after the noun description then not hyphenated He is nine years old.”
