Fallen Crest Publicreview byMichelle

What the heck is it about Mason Kade that makes me want to run up to him and drop my panties??? Dead serious. Not kidding. I just want to drop them and let him have his way with me...ANY way he choses. What is it about him?  I mean, I have A LOT of book boyfriends and they are all hot but….there is just something about Mason that DOES.IT.FOR.ME. I count the days waiting for these books to come out so needless to say I was practically giddythe day Fallen Crest Public showed up on my Kindle. I immediately dropped what I was doing and started reading. Read the entire book in one sitting  and as usual, Tijan did NOT disappoint! In fact, this book ended up being my favorite of the three so far :)

For those of you not familiar with the Fallen Crest books, this is the third book in the series behind Fallen Crest High and Fallen Crest Family. You will definitely want to read those before you read this one. FCP is the continuation of the story of Sam (Samantha) and brothers, Mason and Logan Kade.

It picks up right where FCF left off with Sam, Mason and Logan living at Mason’s friend Nate’s house after a huge blowout with Sam’s batshit crazy mom. It is the start of a new school year and Sam has transferred to Fallen Crest Public. She and Mason are still crazy in love with each other and still steaming up my Kindle screen with their all consuming, crazy hot, melt your panties off passion.

Mason is super protective of Sam and they just can’t get enough of each other. His feelings for her almost scare him with their intensity.
“ A part of me knew that Sam was different. I could tell her, and she wouldn’t use it against me, but I didn’t know for certain. I was too scared to find out, so I kept quiet. She knew I loved her. She just didn’t know how much.”
Not only are these two deeply in love, but the sexual chemistry is off the charts!
“I’m not going to be gentle. I’m not going to be quick. And you are going to be thoroughly fucked when I’m through with you.”

Good LAWD this man is hot!! I couldn’t get enough of the two of them together. And as much as I love their relationship, I also love the close relationship they both share with Logan. These three are the epitome of what family should be. They stick together, they protect each other and if you mess with one of them, you mess with ALL of them. This is Mason’s last year of high school before he goes away to college leaving Sam and Logan to their senior year. Sam is really struggling with this and what it will do to her and Mason’s relationship but as she starts junior year at her new school she soon realizes she has much bigger issues to worry about...The Tommy Princesses.
The Tommy Princesses, a group of nasty girls at school that used to hang out with the Kade brothers and their crew of friends has declared all out war on Sam. The Tommy Princesses are lead by Kate...think Regina George from Mean Girls but on crack and times 100!

That is how crazy and obsessed this girl is with ruining Sam’s life. She blames Sam for her and the other girls getting banished from hanging out with Mason’s crew. As a result, Sam is constantly on guard but also trying to handle the situation herself as opposed to telling Mason and Logan what is going on. Mason and Logan are having their own issues with the  Broudou brothers, guys from a rival high school,  who want to find out who Mason’s girlfriend is so they can use her to extract revenge on Mason. Nasty, disturbing revenge. Mason and Logan are doing everything in their power to keep this from happening. Their #1 goal is always protecting Sam.
One thing I really liked about this book was how much stronger Sam continues to get. She was so weak and whiny in book one but she has finally come into her own and is sticking up for herself and trying to solve her own problems. I think the biggest thing, however, that has drawn me to these books is the dynamic of the relationship between Sam, Mason and Logan. These three go through some serious obstacles in this book and some really crazy things happen but they remain true and loyal to each other. There are parts that will have you seething, parts that will make you cry and parts that will have you saying WTF?! Throughout it all...they always have each other.
“He was home. Logan was home. No matter all the changes, no matter where he was going. I was home for now.”
I can’t tell you enough how much I loved this book and how you NEED to read it! I will warn you that the end left me feeling like this…

Like I can’t believe that Tijan went THERE!! You will know exactly what I mean when you read it. Of course, now I am DYING for book 4 and all I can say is it better go my way or I may find myself standing on a very high bridge. I.Am.Invested. You feel me, Tijan???? Don’t let a girl down!! To the rest of you, read this book...ASAP! You will love it and you will love these characters. Fallen Crest Public is a 5 star read for this girl!

AUTHOR BIO:
Tijan started writing later in life, after she had already graduated college with a different direction in mind and a different degree under her belt. Hitting the brakes on that path, she taught herself how to write a good book and began posting at sites such as Fictionpress, along with Wattpad. FALLEN CREST SERIES BOOK TRAILER

EXCERPT

Kate’s sneer turned into a snarl. “You think you’re funny?”

One of the three added, “Maybe she’s taking lessons from Logan?”

Another snorted. “Probably. She needs all the lessons she can get.”

My smile had stretched from ear to ear now. It was genuine, too. “Is this another warning from you? I thought you moved past the cliché insults and name calling. Oh wait. You said lessons. Yes, that’s referencing that I’m dumb. That’s another cliché insult.” With my hand in the air, I lifted a finger with each point. “I’m ugly. I’m dumb. I have too much sex. Those are the three main ones most simpletons use to insult others. The clothes and the mannequin gave me hope. I thought you were starting to progress, but then I heard that you’ve already done that before. It’s recycled material. You guys need to find new stuff. You know what they say about comedians?” At their blank faces, I nodded. “What I expected. If they use old material, the act is boring. People move on. If you’re going to keep drawing fresh fear from everyone, you need new stuff.” I stood and patted Kate’s head. “You can do it. I believe in you.”

Logan stood by the door and held it open. Mason came in behind him. Both found me immediately. I wondered who had notified them, but then Kate grabbed my arm. She twisted it and got into my face. Her hand tightened on my arm and she lowered her voice, “You have until the end of the day to drop out of school. This is the last warning.”

A taunt rose to my tongue, but I swallowed it. The jokes were gone.

Three thoughts happened at the same time. David’s image flashed again. “Fuck it,” came next. Third, when I knew what I was going to do, I thought, “Let’s see how this goes.”

Kate’s eyes widened as she watched the myriad of expressions before she saw my intent. Her hand let me go, and she started to back away, but it was too late. My hand latched onto hers instead, and I took one second to comment, “Bet you weren’t expecting this,” I said before my other hand grabbed the back of her head and used all my body weight to slam her head into the table.
