Greg drove me to Eddy’s safe house. As it turns out, Eddy’s mom was a nurse, and he brought her to dress the burns that covered the majority of my torso. I had also picked up a few gashes that I hadn’t realized so she stitched me up. She didn’t have any anesthetic aside from some aloe vera with lidocaine so everything she did hurt like hell. I cried like a baby as she worked, nearly passing out a few times from the pain. Greg couldn’t watch. Eddy held my hand as I bore down.
