on how you should
never let go
of the one
you seem to
love the most. 

Your anger will subside,
and you will find yourself
alone and lost, and wondering
what words came out 
of your mouth
that ended it all.

I am no longer sad
with knowing the fact
that you aren’t coming back,
and that your love for me
was as temporary
as your compassion.

I know that it’s going to
take time for me
to be able to
feel safe again
without you here
beside me.
