I’m A Slave to Your Pleasures….
Before I get into the meat of this post, I thought I’d give you a quick update on the status of the first book of my arrogantly self-proclaimed best new romance/sexy thriller series THE MIDNIGHT SOCIETY, due out in December: The second draft is complete.
Now that I set the bar high with my “best new romance/sexy thriller” comment, I better damn well deliver.

It’s currently in the hands of three extremely lovely beta readers to ravage like Lionesses on lambs. On December 1st, it goes off to my amazing grammatical-ninja editor to cut away the fat and shape the book that’s worthy for your eyes and your heart.
Meanwhile, I’m working away on the cover. Last night I spent over three mind-numbing hours staring at pictures of men’s abs and flooding my “favourites” bookmark tab with links such as “Young Sexy Man with Athletic Body Posing” and “Close Up of Young Muscular Man after Sport Training” and “Muscular Man with Sexy Abs and a Suit.”
My wife is a very understanding woman.
Good news though, I did find the perfect image for my book cover that I think is brilliant, different, and hopefully invokes an emotion within your literary soul. I also came up with a new working title for the first book in the series. Yes, yes…it seems like the name of the book keeps changing, going from Shadow Falls to Midnight Ends to lord knows what next? Dicks in the Dark?
Like the book cover, the new name (not Dicks in the Dark) is unique and makes a lot of sense. It works on many levels and hopefully you’ll love it as much as I do.
For those that will be potentially disappointed by the lack of men’s abs and an in-your-face slutty title…here’s a variant cover that hopefully will satisfy you temporarily.

And for those that do enjoy this “variant cover” and “alternate title” over the one I’ll be revealing in December…

Now onto the gift, but before I announce what it is, I’d like to provide some context. A couple of months ago, I shared on my blog “Breathless”, a song I composed on my piano during one of the darkest moments of my life, a song that found it’s way into the first book of my Midnight Society series.

And you, my awesome and lovely readers, loved it. I was touched by the overwhelming positive response. Recently I’ve been getting a lot of emails and tweets for me to release another one of my recorded piano songs, and me being a slave to your pleasures, will always fall victim to your wants and desires.

In relation to my last post, the song tells the story of a person standing at the edge of creation, reflecting back on his life and listening to what his past-self tells him.
