How to get into the publishing world? Well, there was a study in Business Insider yesterday that listed “creative writer” as the 2nd most competitive job. Which might suggest it’s not easy :) There’s also no secret back door. You do the work. That’s it. You write and you write until you have a book that publishers want, and then you keep writing more books that they want. Sounds overly simplistic and vague, but there’s no other way to do it. Write a book. Edit it. Get feedback. Edit more. Submit. Start another book as you await the inevitable rejection letters. Rinse, repeat until published.
