Blogger of the Week:

Fic Fare

What country are you in?

United States

How long have they’ve been blogging and rolling?

I year and 6 months

(Ack, you’re about to hit the terrible twos)

Q1. Why did you start blogging?

It all happened because of a little suggestion by a friend. She noted that I was reading a ton, and simply posting my reviews to Goodreads. She said I should start putting those reviews on my blog to share my thoughts with my followers. Once I started, I couldn’t stop and it turned into this amazing hobby where I’ve gotten to read amazing books and meet amazing authors and get to know them on more of a personal level than just having read their words and that’s something I could never have expected!

Q2. Do you do weekly memes and if so, what is your favorite meme and why?

We do Top Ten Tuesday and Waiting on Wednesday – I have to say the Top Ten Tuesday is my favorite – it makes me think about the books I’ve read or am planning to read in a different light than just whether it was good or not.

(I love the Top 10 posts too. They are very cool and it’s that time of year for them. Or will that be Top 13?)

Q3. What is your favorite aspect about blogging?

I love getting the chance to interact with authors, and I love sharing the things I get to experience with my followers. Whether it’s an author interview or an event or a giveaway of some sort it’s all been an incredible experience.

Q4. If you can be stuck on an island with any author, who would it be and why?

UGH I can only pick one? Maybe I’d pick Tracey Garvis Graves! I think her research for On The Island might do us some good!

Q5. What book would you give up your left arm and maybe even a leg to see it translated into film or TV? Tell us why!

Reboot by Amy Tintera – holy crap can you imagine Wren kicking everyone’s asses and sweet Callum. I remember doing a top ten tuesday on this very topic. I know for a fact that your books were on that list, and thankfully, the following week you made your announcement!

(Well, thank you. I need to check out Roboot. I am so far behind on reading)

Q6. What is your favorite question to ask an author and why?

What is the last book you recommended to someone?

(Good question!)

Q7. What TV show is a not-miss for you?

The Walking Dead… because ZOMBIES

(YESSSSS!!!!)

Q8. What is your favorite movie that you can watch over and over again?

Any Indiana Jones movie … except Crystal Skulls because..meh

(I loved those movies)

Q9. Are you a cat, dog, fish, or gerbil person?

I am an any kind of animal person (except bees)

(Bees need love too)

Q10. Do you prefer print or digital?

I love love print because then I can get them signed (I hope) but don’t mind digital at all.

Q11. What is your favorite genre to read and why?

Dystopian without a doubt.

Q12. What would you like to read more about?

I love well-done sci-fi and time travel stories!!

Finally, what is your favorite book of all time and why?

Me Before You by Jojo Moyes

It’s a thought provoking read, with incredibly developed characters and a story that will have you laughing and crying and sobbing in turns. I found myself incredibly moved by Will & Clark’s story… When I even look at the cover, I’m immediately taken back to them and their situation.

Today, you have a chance to win an Kindle copy of Be Before You.
