From the author of the New York Times bestsellers Gabriel’s Rapture and Gabriel’s Inferno comes the epic conclusion to the captivating romantic trilogy.
Professor Gabriel Emerson has left his position at the University of Toronto to embark on a new life with his beloved Julianne. Together, he’s confident that they can face any challenge. And he’s eager to become a father.
But Julianne’s graduate program threatens Gabriel’s plans, as the pressures of being a student become all consuming. When she is given the honor of presenting an academic lecture at Oxford, Gabriel is forced to confront Julianne about the subject of her presentation—research that conflicts with his own. And in Oxford, several individuals from their past appear, including an old nemesis intent on humiliating Julia and exposing one of Gabriel’s darkest secrets.
In an effort to confront his remaining demons, Gabriel begins a quest to discover more about his biological parents, beginning a chain of events that has startling repercussions for himself, Julianne, and his hope of having a family.
MY REVIEW

My favourite quote from the book: “ For you, my love, I would endeavour to pluck the stars from the sky, only to shower them at your feet.”
O gods of Dante specialists, Professor Gabriel Emerson is back! The story of Gabriel Emerson and Julianne Mitchell captivated me from the very first page of Gabriel’s Inferno. They have been in love since that first night in the orchard, when Julia was ten years his junior and seventeen years old. Their love has grown, and they have changed as people and we have been able to go on their journey with them through the incredible way that Sylvain Reynard describes every detail. But their journey has not been easy. After a host of obstacles – jealous ex-lovers, a vengeful and abusive ex-boyfriend, the death of Gabriel’s child, poisonous rumours threatening to tear their relationship apart and family tales yet to be uncovered, Gabriel’s Redemption is a highly anticipated and explosive conclusion and I’m sad to see it end. And let me tell you, it does not disappoint.I love Sylvain Reynard’s style, the snarky narrator with the ability to convey the protagonists anguish and love and do it with wit and humour, leaving a smile on the reader’s face. When we first met Gabriel, he was a dark man, tortured by his past and pining after the girl he had convinced himself he imagined all those years ago. Julianne was virtuous and innocent, plagued by her own past of neglect and conflicted feelings towards her mother. Neither Gabriel nor Julia believed they deserve the love they offer each other; a love so strong and consuming, a love created the night in the orchard when Gabriel found his Beatrice.
But they change each other, fighting to keep their love. Julia passes Gabriel some of her compassion, and he shares with her a life of passion, sensuality and a love she thought she’d never have. “At first he loved her like a pagen, eager to make her an idol and worship her. then he’d recognized that some things were more important than his love for her – her happiness.” “Your love makes me strong.”
“That’s good, because I’ll keep loving you. Forever.”
Julia is forced to believe in herself at the conference in oxford – faced with the rumours Christa has spread and the threat they pose to her academic career. It is Gabriel’s love that gives her the confidence to explain her theory in front of a room full of people, judging her for marrying her professor. “How did you know?”
“How did I know what?”
“How did you know I’d do a good job?”
“Because I have faith in you.”
The story is full of twists and turns, tying up loose ends with a few surprises, and new and old characters making appearances to test their relationship. Every emotion from passion, pain and revenge, to love and anguish is displayed in the many ways the story branches out and I loved every single one.If there is a way to perfectly show flaws in characters, SR does it. Gabriel still has his controlling ways, shuts Julia out and tries to find answers to his questions about his past alone, leaving Julia feeling neglected and hurt that he’s keeping secrets from her. “You’re my family.” His thumb traces the curve of her cheek. Julia’s eyes met his. He continued, his voice a husky whisper, “All this searching, all this anxiety when what I was looking for was right here.” And Julia’s tendency to sacrifice her happiness for others’ leaves her under pressure, unfocussed and turning to an old friend when she should have sought out her husband.
I couldn’t put it down. I started reading on Saturday morning and I read until my eyes hurt in the early hours of Sunday.I love everything about this story. I like stories that are written with intelligence, which I think SR surpasses. I like stories that keep you guessing, which I was, right until the end when I noticed I was gripping my kindle so hard my fingers were white.Professor Gabriel O. Emerson is by far my favourite book boyfriend (I’m not one to fangirl, but in this case I will!). he encompasses an intelligent man, driven by his desire to devote his life to his beloved and their future together as a family. And let’s be honest, what girl doesn’t want a man in specs, with impeccable taste, who wants to spend forever and a day proving his love to the woman who stole his heart?
Julianne is an incredible heroine. She has loved and lost, fought and won, been challenged and put everyone she loves first. And she loves her husband unconditionally. “There might be terrible skeletons in my family’s closet. Could you love me in spite of them?”
“I’d never love you in spite of anything, Gabriel. I just love you.”
I give this book an incredible five stars and having completed my review, I’m picking up Gabriel’s Inferno and reading the series all over again.
