A Year Has Passed…

If you would have told me a year ago that I would be about to publish my 3rd book by the time this 1 year anniversary rolled around, I would have called you crazy.

One year ago today America Lost a dedicated Soldier and I lost my Dad to a battle with lung cancer.

One year ago today, I nearly gave up the whole institution of writing because it was hard to see the other side of what was right in front of me. One year ago today, I fought exhaustion as everything unravelled before my eyes. But then the light, he was happier and healthier and no doubt playing cards with his brother. My love for him will never change, and I will forever miss him.

But today, I am stronger, I am motivated, and I am empowered by the love I received from him to continue to do what I love to do.

Not a day goes by that I don’t miss my Dad. Not a day goes by that I don’t wish I could tell him about the success of my stories, and not a day goes by that I don’t wish he was here, not only for me, but for my Mom and my two brothers, my son and my niece.

I love you Dad!
