Dani Weiser – Hollywood Make Up Artist

I am delighted that I will soon be welcoming Dani Weiser; professional Hollywood make up artist, lecturer and abstract painter to Simons 10 Q Interviews.
Starting her career at the age of 15 Dani worked as an extra on the movie set of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels starring Michael Caine and Steve Martin. It was then, having watched Steve Martin’s make up artists at work, that she discovered her calling and set about learning the craft of a professional make up artist, in time developing a particular passion towards the world of special effects.
One of her early commissions was to work on the set of Paula Abdul’s first music video Straight Up after which she quickly moved on to establish an enviable reputation within Hollywood.
Amongst Dani’s television credits are; Beverly hills 90210, The Bold and the Beautiful, Ghost Hunters and various shows on the Discovery Channel. She has also been the make up artist for music artists UB40 and KISS, and worked on the film set of Shadow Hours starring Peter Weller.
Previously a teacher at the Cinema Makeup School in Los Angeles, Dani has lectured at R.I.T (Rochester Institute of Technology) in New York and has been interviewed several times by New York television. She has also been asked to write the foreword to a British makeup book called Stage and Screen Makeup written by Kit Spencer.
