Deap Vally's Debut Album Sistrionix Out Now
Los Angeles-based rock-duo Deap Vally release their debut album, Sistrionix, today in North America via Cherrytree/Communion/Interscope/Island. The album has been hailed by critics withSPIN making Sistrionix their album of the week last week, saying that it"stomps and swaggers like vintage bayou boogie, with Lindsay Troy's thick-as-a-brick blues riffs and Julie Edwards' monstrous cavewoman beats proving that the dynamic duo can hold up to the hype." All Music Guide wrote in a 4-star review that the band "...sound like the White Stripes or the Black Keys made over from the female side of things, with a sound that hits the same crunchy, thumping, swampy groove and looseness." Premiere Guitar said that "the guitar world could use more angry fuzz queens like [Lindsay] Troy."

The band are currently touring with the Arctic Monkeys for a handful of dates, including Nashville tonight. The band has already made a name for themselves as a formidable touring act, opening for the likes of Mumford & Sons, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Queens of the Stone Age; as well as a staple at summer festivals this year with memorable sets at Coachella, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, and ACL last weekend.
