Watch Mudhoney's “The Only Son Of The Widow From Nain” From Vanishing Point Via Esquire 2013 Fall Headlining Tour Kicks-Off Tonight In Washington, DC Plus - Supports Pearl Jam November 29th-December 6th; Big Day Out in Australia & New Zealand in 2014 Mudhoney has premiered a new video for “The Only Son Of The Widow From Nain” from their critically acclaimed 9th album Vanishing Point, with Esquire.com. The hilarious and twisted clip is directed by returning director Carlos F. Lopez ("I Like It Small"), and tells the story of a man who is resurrected from his deathbed and all hell breaks loose. Esquire calls the video, "A nightmare of a hospital trip from start to finish... a jarringly perfect pairing for "The Only Son of the Widow from Nain" and its unflinching allergy to bullshit by way of lackadaisical lyrics and power chords (see premiere Monday, September 23)." Mudhoney's previously announced fall and winter has been extended into 2014. The band’s North American headlining trek kicks-off tonight, September 23rd in Washington, DC at U Street Music Hall and ends October 2nd in Atlanta, GA at The Earl. For the dates that span November 26th-December 2nd time frame, the band will act as main support for Pearl Jam. Then in early 2014, Mudhoney will head to Australia and New Zealand for the Big Day Out festivals. Please find a full list of tour dates below.
