I spent the morning repairing some fencing that had blown awry in recent wind storms. Luckily the day was mild, no wind, and slightly overcast--good working weather.
I would have rather been inside working on a manuscript--that would be one of my priorities (along with trying to find interesting photo ops), but the necessities have to be dealt with.
I surely wish I had a secretary, "ranch" foreman, personal assistant or spouse to take care of the mundane necessities. I often wonder how other writers/artists manage to create (some abundantly) and still handle "daily" life--some even with public jobs! I guess the best bet is to live in a condo or residence hotel that has concierge service. ;-) But I'd miss hearing the meadowlarks in the mornings.
