Calcium in the Brain – Bad News for Calcium Users
Calcium in the Brain – Bad News for Calcium Users
After listening to Dr. Oz tell NY Yankees baseball player Derek Jeter on Oprah to drink some milk before bed, as the calcium would help him sleep better.... I took the initiative to begin taking calcium (along with melatonin and DHEA) before bed.
However I noticed upon waking up (after 9 or 10 hours of sleep) I had less energy then when I went to bed. Obviously something was not right.
Hence I discovered this book by a brain surgeon who speaks a lot on calcium. Go to the index of the book and reference the many pages on calcium.

There are two common forms of calcium and dozens of chemical compounds of calcium. One good, the other very bad. This is a well kept secret in the medical and water industry. Tens of billions of dollars are being made in hospitals because of heart bad health and selling water softeners that use salt to remove the good calcium from water.
There are more than 60 chemical forms of calcium: Calcium acetate, Calcium benzoate, Calcium Bromate, Carbonate, Chlorate, Chloride, Chromate, Fluoride, Hydroxide, Oxide, Nitrite, and on and on. Your body needs calcium, but the calcium it needs has to be water soluble, digestible, and recognized by the body. From there, the body then has to chemically process it. All calcium is not water soluble, nor is it digestible or recognizable by the body, therefore, the body is unable to process it effectively.
Water, milk, cheese and vegetables are the best source of calcium.
1. Calcium Carbonate (Bad) - causes scale and plaque. Coral Calcium is a carbonate based calcium.
2. Calcium Bicarbonate (Very Good and very water soluble) - found in meats, fruits and vegetables this calcium builds strong bones when it is properly bound to enzymes and converted by the body.

Calcium deposits in brain
"I am seeking more information about the problem of Calcium deposits building up in the brain, after long term use of Calcium suppliment drugs, used for increasing a persons bone density in deseases such as Osteoporosis. I heard of a Geriatrician who noted that several patients who had an "unusual" form of Dimentia, and who had died, after autopsey, showed large amounts of Calcium deposits in the brain. All their histories showed they had been on long-term calcium suppliments...."
