Conception

Much like the conception of my children, the conception of The Prophecy was exciting, intense and pleasurable.
I remember the day the dragons came knocking on my mental doors. I was living in Ft. Collins, Colorado. It was spring and I was sitting at my computer, dabbling. My desk was near a picture window and perpendicular to the wall so that I had a clear vision outside but the direct sunlight couldn't damage the computer. I had been working on a newsletter for a spiritual group that I attended in the Fort (what we call Ft. Collins). I was looking out the window and enjoying the warmth of the sun on my face when an overwhelming urge to write leaped on me. Being a very visual person, I saw a handsome rugged individual in leathers of old and a longsword beckoning me. Sort of like a younger Hugh Jackman. Then I began to shudder with anticipation as Jennifer Connelly, with emerald green eyes appeared. Eyes closed, heart beating I watched. Before long a large, beautiful blue dragon appeared with emerald green eyes. The connection was clear. The "seed" had been planted. I was pregnant, my God...what am I going to do?
