What About Trayvon Martin? From the 'What About Series' [Post 4]

I’m not going to go in to a long diatribe about the trial, or whether Zimmerman should have been acquitted. Everyone and their brother have done that and I see no reason to add my personal “feelings and emotions” into the fray. Neither Trayvon Martin nor George Zimmerman were innocent in this event and it was one of many tragedies that happen in our country every single day.  Sad. So sad. But true. So, here is what I’d like to say. ..

Please, do not be sucked into this crazy bating of one race against the other. Raise your heads up and think. This entire episode in our country’s history is a sham and it’s a shame so many people have fallen for the media’s manipulation. Why are we so willing to jump on the bandwagon the moment the media prods us with a stick? The media is crooked. They can so easily put a bend on things to match their agenda. And their agenda is whomever is paying the bills.

It reminds me of seeing a bunch of little electrically operated puppets, and the media/administration (administration = gov’t and politicians and corrupt white collar hoaxers both D. and R.,) says, “Watch this!” And then, they take two ends of an electrical wire, put them together, and laugh as all the little puppets suddenly go crazy, swinging wildly at each other, destroying themselves and all around them.

Please do not allow yourself to be so manipulated. Whether you were “for” Trayvon Martin, or “for” George Zimmerman, do not be so distracted by this trumped up event that we forget what we the people are really all about. Compassion. Love. Love of our families. Love of our friends. Love of our country, our lives, our creative talents, animals, Earth, the universe, God etc..  Cries of “murder whitey” and others much worse are not what the majority of us are about. They are certainly not what will bring love and goodness and light back into our country.

So many times over the last few days I’ve heard the cry, “Justice for Trayvon.” Do you not see the division in that? How about just a cry for justice?  Not for Trayvon and not for Zimmerman. Just justice. That was my hope for the trial. And as I watched, it became clear to me that the prosecution had no case against Zimmerman. But if they HAD...  then  I would want Zimmerman to go to prison. I wasn’t hoping Zimmerman would get away with murder. I was hoping for justice. If it was proven he flat out murdered that young man, then away with George Zimmerman. But it didn’t work out like that. Justice was served. If you didn’t watch the trial but are getting your information from the mainstream media, then you are making a decision based on extreme bias. If you did watch the trial, you would have seen that it was fair, if not leaning a little toward the prosecution.

Now I have to mention the six jurors and give them a big thumbs up. Do you think those six women knew that the media and their puppeteers and at least half the country wanted them to put Zimmerman behind bars? Of course they knew. They could have been intimidated. They may have been afraid and probably were. But with all that, be it correct or incorrect, they stood for what they believed to be the truth in this case. They didn’t have to. It would have been much easier for them to just come back with a guilty plea. They would have been lauded and loved. But they did the hard thing and did what they thought was right. Kudos.

Come on, my beloved countrymen. Come together. No more chips on shoulders. No more feeling guilty. No more demanding reparation. No more cries of hatred. No more ugly words. Do not be the sheep following the crowd off the cliff. Because that is exactly where we are headed. Stop. Turn around. And simply love.  Yes, even your enemies.
